Detail InformationEdit

St George’s Church is an Anglican church in Singapore. It is located at Minden Road in the Tanglin Planning Area, off Holland Road. It is owned by the Anglican Diocese of Singapore, and was constructed between 1910 and 1913. This Anglican church was built for the British troops in Tanglin Barracks – once the General Headquarters of the British Far East Land Forces. The “garrison” church became a “civilian” church in 1971. Its stained glass windows depict a figure of Christ and the badges of the units, but the original ones are missing. Mystery surrounds the whereabouts of the original stained glass windows.
