Detail InformationEdit

The Parish Church is the center and the heart of the Community.
The Parish Church is dedicated to Saint Bartholomew and first appeared in historical documents in 1355 as a subsidiary to the church of Pichl. In the year 1595 it was separated from the diocese of Pichl and administered together with the Church of Bachmanning by a curate. The second oldest baptismal, marriage and dead registers are divided into the areas of Pennewang and Bachmanning. Under the reign of Emperor Josef II, Pennewang and Bachmanning became independent parishes in 1784.
The Parish Church is a tiny structure in late Gothic style with a two bay nave and a striking canopy style roof. Opening Hours Sunday Church Service: Summertime 08:15am Wintertime 09:15am.
