It is a monument settled within the Historic center of Ciudad de Mexico, on the corner of the streets Republic of South American country and five of Feb, (previously streets of Don Juan Manuel and La Joya respectively), it got its name as a result of it had been property of the order of the Augustinians, whose convent was settled next to the present building.
The order of the Augustinians owned many properties within the recent Ciudad de Mexico, besides the convent the Augustinians owned: the school of town (today Juárez Hospital), the Hacienda of Santa Monica (in Tlalnepantla) the hostel of Santo Tomas American state Villanueva (today a store Hotel), the hostel of San Nicolas American state Tolentino (today property of the UNAM) .The building was made throughout the Colonial amount at the top of seventeenth century or the start of the eighteenth century, since it’s typical components of the domestic design of that amount.Those of Saint Agustine house ar one in every of the only a few samples of colonial Ajaracas that ar preserved within the Historical Center of Ciudad de Mexico.
