The RSA Battle House Tower is found in Mobile, Alabama and is Alabama’s tallest building. The building is owned by the Retirement Systems of Alabama (RSA). It’s the tallest on the coast of the us outside of Houston. It replaces the Wells city Tower in Birmingham because the tallest building in Alabama and therefore the RSA–BankTrust Building because the tallest in Mobile. The building is known as for the neighboring Battle House building, that is currently a part of the tower complicated. The Battle House building was remodeled and restored as a part of the tower project.
The building began with foundation block concrete being poured throughout the weekend of seven November 2003. The muse block is over seven feet (2.1 m) thick, with simply over five feet (1.5 m) of it resting below the natural groundwater level of downtown Mobile. The spire, put in by a Igor Ivanovich Sikorsky S-61 chopper on Sat, sixteen Sep 2006, brought the building to its finished height of 745 feet (227 m). Throughout construction, five hurricanes affected Mobile, inflicting delays within the construction of this building: cyclone Frances and cyclone Ivan in 2004, still as cyclone Cindy, cyclone Dennis, and cyclone Katrina in 2005.
