Royersford may be a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, thirty two miles (51 km) northwest of City of Brotherly Love, on the Schuylkill watercourse. According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough contains a total area of 0.8 sq. Miles (2.1 km2), of which, 0.8 square miles (2.1 km2) of it is land and zero.04 square miles (0.10 km2) of it (4.88%) is water.
The town drew its name from the placement of a ford across the Schuylkill River, that happened to be adjacent to land closely-held by the Royer family. Early within the twentieth century, it had in depth stove and brass factories, glass and bottle works, embroidery and silk mills, a dye and bleaching plant, bridge works, and manufactories of bricks, gas meters, stockings, shirts, shafting components, wagons, agricultural implements, etc. The population stood at a pair of,607 individuals in 1900, and at 3,073 in 1910. The population was 4,752 at the 2010 census. The borough was shaped from the southeastern corner of Limerick administrative district in 1879. Royersford Borough is a member of the Spring-Ford space college District.
