The Roosevelt Island Bridge could be a span that connects Roosevelt Island to Astoria in Queens, crossing the East Channel of the East River. It’s the only route to the island for transport and traffic (without mistreatment public transportation). Construction of the bridge began on St Patrick’s Day, 1952, at a price of $6.5 million.
