Rodopoli (Greek: Ροδόπολη, meaning “City of Roses”), older name Bala (Μπάλα), is an old community in Attica, Greece – about 22 km north of Athens. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Dionysos, of which it is a municipal unit.
Until the 1980s, farmlands covered the southwestern part of Rodopoli, while the remainder was covered by Aleppo-pine forests. New building development started in the 1990s, with most of the population now being urban. Housing development continues to this day.
