Rittenhouse sq. Is one amongst the 5 original open-space parks planned by Quaker and his surveyor Thomas Holme throughout the late seventeenth century in central City of Brotherly Love, Pennsylvania. The park cuts off nineteenth Street at Walnut Street and conjointly at a [*fr1] block on top of Manning Street. Its boundaries ar eighteenth Street to the East, Walnut St. To the north, uranologist sq. West (a north-south boundary street), and uranologist sq. South (an east-west boundary street), creating the park some 2 short blocks on both sides. Originally known as Southwest sq., uranologist sq. Was renamed in 1825 once Rittenhouse, a descendant of the primary paper-maker in City of Brotherly Love, the German migrator William uranologist.
Today, the tree-filled park is enclosed by high rise residences, luxury flats, Associate in Nursing workplace tower, a number of fashionable restaurants, a Barnes & Noble store, a Barneys Co-Op, and 2 hotels, together with a five-star.
