Detail InformationEdit
In the year 1465, Treubach received the letter of indulgence by the Pope and was declared a place of pilgrimage.
These days, the Bründl Chapel is said to have been in existence already. The place was visited by large numbers of people who were attracted to it by the fame of its source: Healing on eye diseases was to be found in the sacred blend of healing water that could be gathered from the adjoining spring. The Chapel was in the hands of the Parish Church until 1881 when the local authority took it over. In the year 1945 it was completely restored by the returnees of World War II and thus is dubbed Returnee Chapel as well.
