The Regional Municipality of House of York, additionally referred to as House of York Region, may be a regional municipality in Southern Ontario, Canada, between Lake Simcoe and Toronto. It replaced the previous House of York County in 1971, and is a component of the bigger Toronto space and also the inner ring of the Golden Horseshoe. The regional seat is in Newmarket.
York Region covers one,776 sq. Kilometres from Lake Simcoe within the north to town of Toronto within the south. Its japanese border is shared with Durham Region, to the west is Peel Region, and Simcoe County is to the northwest. A map of the region showing its major roads and communities is on the market.
