History records that in 1609 a substantial part of the Rectory was destroyed by a fire. And as a result the structure had to be completely rebuilt. The year 1737 saw augmentation and improvement to the building. On May 01, 1809, the famous Austrian field marshal Radetzky spent a night here as can be read from a marble memorial tablet. And even Emperor Napoleon I traveled through Weißkirchen on his march from Wels to Ebelsberg.
