Rangat is one of the towns in the middle of Andaman Islands that literally implies “Beauty and joy”. This hilly region is not much far from port Blair and a distance of only 210 KMs requires to be taken in stride. The name goes well with the place as here there number of sea beaches and other attraction to add to the joy and excitement of the tourists. As, you proceed towards Cutbert bay, one of the best stop-over would be Amkunj beach. This beach offers a range of exciting activities such as swimming, basking in sun, having fun of engaging in snorkeling and having relaxation. Betapur beach and Cutbert Bay Beach are some of the other major attractions. Cutbert Bay Beach is located at a distance of 20 KMs which is an ideal place to watch number of turtles of various kinds preserved in a nearby turtle sanctuary. One can also have the delight of watching and enjoying under plummeting showers of Panchavati water fall.
