Detail InformationEdit
Qenko is an archeological site near Cuzco, Peru. On top of the massive block of limestone, a couple of Sukanakas, Saywasor gnomons- a sort of Intiwatana- are to be found (gnomons- an erected piece of a sundial where a shadow is cast). Solstices are take place crossing imaginary lines across these light and shadow gauges.
These time meters were not only used to describe the path of the Earth around the Sun, but they would also be used to cast the shadow and create the profile of animals of power- in this case the Puma (Cougar).
