Established in 1888, Qacha’s Nek is a picturesque town in Lesotho, which is located at an altitude of 2027 meters above sea level. This town is one of the major and most popular tourist destinations in the country, offering ancient buildings with colonial architecture, beautiful churches and its tranquil surroundings enhances the beauty of this town. One of the prime attractions of Qacha’s Nek is the Sehlabathebe National Park, which is also the only national park of the country, situated at a distance of 105 kms from this town.
This national park is major attraction of the country as well, which is at an elevation of 2400 meter, which is home to some of the most endangered wildlife species like Wild Cat, Black-backed Jackal, Oribi and birds like Southern Bald Ibis, Drakensberg Siskin and many others. St Joseph’s Church is one of the principle attractions of Qacha’s Nek.
