Pupin Physics Laboratories, additionally referred to as Pupin Hall is home to the physics and natural philosophy departments of the university in the big apple town and a National Historic Landmark. It had been in-built 1925-1927 to produce more room for the department of physics that had originally been housed in Fayerweather Hall, and named for Serbian man of science Mihajlo Idvorski Pupin, WHO graduated with honors in 1883 at Columbia school, when his death in 1935.
The building is found on the side of one hundred and twentieth Street, simply east of Great White Way. It’s been named a National Historic Landmark for its association with experiments concerning the cacophonous of the atom, achieved in reference to the later Manhattan Project. The building was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1965. In 2009 the yankee Physical Society named Pupin Hall a historic web site and honored Isidor Isaac Rabi for his add the sector of resonance.
