Pukatawagan may be a city regarding 210 kilometres north of The Pas; it are often reached by train from Lynn Lake by a branch of the Hudson Bay Railway, a traveler service provided by Via Rail. A winter road once the lakes have frozen. The field, set east of city, is employed by Missinippi Airways.
