Puerto RICO National necropolis could be a u. S. National necropolis situated within the town of Bayamón, within the commonwealth of Puerto RICO. It encompasses 108.2 acres (43.8 ha) of land, and as of the top of 2005, had 44,722 interments. It’s the sole National necropolis in Puerto RICO, and also the just one outside of the ground u. S..
The land during which the necropolis is found was below the jurisdiction of the u. S. Navy since 1898, once Kingdom of Spain ceded Puerto RICO to the u. S. As a consequence of the treaties signed that formally complete the war. The world was used as a machine gun target range throughout warfare II.
