Puente American state Ixtla could be a town within the Mexican state of Morelos. Town is the municipal seat for the encircling municipality of constant name. Puente American state Ixtla belonged to the landed estate of Cuernavaca and was therefore tributary of the Aztecas.
The village became an area of needed passage for the caravans active of Acapulco de Juarez to Ciudad de Mexico. With the creation of the Morelos in 1869, Puente American state Ixtla was one among the already existing municipios . July twelfth 1871: annexation of the villages of Xoxocotla, Tehuixtla and of the hacienda of San Jose view Hermosa; later, Xoxocotla was connected to the municipio Jojutla.
