Presidio San Agustín del Tucsón or Fort Tucson was a fort situated among Tucson, Arizona. The initial defensive structure was engineered by Spanish conquistadors throughout the eighteenth century and was the innovation structure of what became the town of Tucson. When the yank arrival in 1856, the initial walls were destroyed, with the last section torn down in 1918. A reconstruction of the northeast corner of the fort was completed in 2007 following AN archaeologic excavation that situated the fort’s northeast tower.
