The city of Prescott was platted in 1873, shortly once the Cairo & discoverer Railroad completed their line through the world of northern Nevada County. Prescott was incorporated on Oct vi, 1874. Prescott could be a town and therefore the county courthouse of Nevada County, Arkansas. The community had a population of three,868 at the 2000 census. Prescott is a component of the Hope Micropolitan applied mathematics space.
