The Village of Pouce car (French for “cut- thumb”) could be a settlement in northeastern Canadian province, Canada, and a member municipality of the Peace watercourse Regional District. It absolutely was originally named ‘Pouskapie’s Prairie’, once the name of the native native band chief. The 2.06 km² (0.80 mi²) municipality is home to 739 residents.
The community was settled by European migrant Hector Tremblay in 1898. Mr. Tremblay, being a French speaking individual, translated ‘Pouskapie’s Prairie’ into the closest French words of comparable sound.
