Pottsville may be a town in, and therefore the seat of Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, u. S.. The population was fourteen,324 at the 2010 census. Town lies on the geographical area of the Schuylkill stream, ninety seven miles (156 km) north-west of urban center. It’s placed in Pennsylvania’s Coal Region, named for the abundance of anthracite. Pottsville isn’t to be confused with Pottstown, a borough in Montgomery County some forty miles (64 km) northwest of urban center.
