The postaugustian library in Żagań has a very rich colection of globes and old books. It is also famous for excellent accoustics. The postaugustian library in Żagań has one of the richest colections of globes and old books in Poland. The walls and ceiling has frescos painted by famous Silesian artist – G.W. Neuenhertz. The medieval books collection was transported to Wroclaw in 1810. It is also very famous for excellent accoustics thanks to specially shaped vaults – the so called whisper vaults.
