Portobelo may be a port town in Colón Province, Panama. It’s placed on the northern a part of the Isthmus of Panama and includes a deep natural harbor. Today, Portobelo may be a sleepy-eyed town with a population of fewer than three,000. In 1980 the ruins of the Spanish colonial fortifications, beside near Fort San Lorenzo, were declared a UNESCO World Heritage web site.
