The Portland repository could be a native history repository in Louisville, Kentucky. It details the history of the Portland neighborhood through many permanent and monthly exhibits. The repository was established in 1978 by many native faculty academics. In 1982 all exhibits were moved to the 1852 Beech Grove Estate mansion on Portland Avenue. A bigger wing has since been supplemental to the side of the building. Many gardens ar settled directly behind the repository, emulating the nineteenth century garden that the buildings original house owners had.
Notable permanent exhibits embody many original paintings of the Squire Earick family done by family friend John James ornithologist, a group of historic images of Portland, Associate in Nursingd an animated guide by Captain Virgin Mary Millicent Miller, a robotic mannequin, telling however she became the primary lady licenced as a boat master in America. Recently, Portland native and former soccer star Paul Hornung given an outsized quantity of record to the repository. The tours of the exhibits ar guided .
