For the 2000 census, the CDP had a complete space of five.8 sq. Miles (15 klick sq), all of it land.
The area encompassing Pollock Pines is in a very heavily timbered mountain region located on the ridge high on the side of the South Fork of the yankee stream. It’s around fifteen miles east of Placerville and sixty miles east of Sacramento on route fifty. It includes the realm from the yankee stream on the north to Jenkinson Lake and also the Mormon Emmigrant path on the south.
