The Polebridge Ranger Station in ice mass parkland was the primary body space within the park, predating the park’s institution. The ranger station was destroyed by hearth, going the residence.
The historic district originally comprised 5 cabins, a barn, oil house, a shed reborn to a checking station, garage, generator house, fire cache, washhouse, and also the Strissel Residence, rapt to the positioning in 1975. Several of the opposite structures were rapt to the positioning in 1955. The fireplace cache was engineered at the positioning in 1927, with a larger level of description than was usual in such structures. The 1927 log barn was a big existing structure.
The only survivors of the 1988 Red Bench hearth were the checking station and also the ranger station residence. The residence could be a log structure, inbuilt 1922.
