The town of Podebrady is situated in the fertile valley of the River Labe around 50 kilometres from Prague. The spa began to develop here in the 17th century. The relatively low elevation above sea level (189 metres), the surrounding flat landscape, the stable climate all year round and the springs with mineral water – these are the main reasons why the spa is so popular with patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases. The peaceful idyllic surroundings are ideal for patients as well as hiking and cycling enthusiasts. Podebrady is also an ideal place for holding all sorts of conferences and congresses.
