Pocahontas may be a town in Randolph County, Arkansas, us, on the Black watercourse. In step with 2006 agency estimates. The town is that the seat of Randolph County. Native legend holds that Powhatan was named the seat through associate act of trickery. Supposedly, at the county meeting to see that town would receive the respect, the delegation from Powhatan brought in massive quantities of alcohol and distributed them to the opposite delegations. Once the time came to vote, the sole delegation that wasn’t passed out or otherwise influenced, was that from Powhatan.
