Plum Grove may be a historic house settled in Iowa town, us. Plum Grove was the retirement home of Gov. Robert film producer and also the childhood home of the author Eleanor Hoyt Brainerd. In-built 1844, film producer lived there along with his partner, Friendly, and a number of other youngsters and grandchildren. Film producer died at Plum Grove in 1853, and his family taken away by 1866.
The home is maintained by the Johnson County Historical Society, however in hand by the State Historical Society of Iowa.The grounds are the main focus of anthropology analysis since 1974, documenting Iowa frontier history and changes in farming from 1844 till 1943. Most of this work was diode by the currently late Dr. Thomas Charlton United Nations agency was with the University Of Iowa’s Department of social science.
