Plessisville, Quebec could be a county courthouse of L’Érable Regional County Municipality, Quebec, Canada. Routes 116 and one hundred sixty five bear it. The town is 185 kilometre from urban center and ninety five kilometre from Quebec City. Plessisville’s claim to fame is because the “World’s Maple Capital”; the town has hosted AN annual Maple competition since 1958, and therefore the Institut québécois DE l’érable (Quebec Maple Institute) is headquartered there. The assembly of sirup and maple product could be a major trade within the entire space, even giving the regional county municipality its name (érable is French for “maple”).
The first person to for good settle within the space was Jean-Baptiste Lafond, in 1835. 1st incorporated because the village of county, the settlement was formally incorporated because the village of Plessisville in 1855 in honour of Monseigneur Octave Plessis, bishop of Quebec at the time.
