Pioltello is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 14 km northeast of Milan. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 32,337 and an area of 13.1 sqkm.
The municipality of Pioltello contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Limito, Seggiano, and Rugacesio.
Pioltello received the honorary title of city with a presidential decree on November 19, 1999.
