Pineville may be a town in Bell County, Kentucky, u. s.. The population was two,093 at the 2000 census. it’s the seat of Bell County. it’s situated on alittle strip of land between the Cumberland and Pine Mountain. Pineville is one amongst the oldest settlements in KY, tracing back to 1781 and a settlement known as Cumberland Ford. it had been a part of a tract of land once owned by Isaac Shelby, Kentucky’s initial governor. once Bell County was shaped in 1867, Cumberland Ford was the plain alternative, however a courthouse wasn’t completed till 1871. The settlement incorporated in 1889 as Pineville.
