Pilot Mountain may be a city in Surry County, North geographic area, u. s.. it’s named for the near landmark of Pilot Mountain, a particular formation. it’s believed to be the inspiration for the fictional city of Mount Pilot on The Andy film producer Show and Mayberry RFD. in line with the u. s. Bureau of the Census, the city includes a total space of one.7 sq. miles (4.4 sq.km), all of it land.
