Detail InformationEdit
This avant garde theatre has won critical acclaim both at home and abroad, scooping the Grand Prix at Poland’s Festival of Acting in 2003 and going on to win three major awards at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2004, including Best International Show. Their breakthrough performance is a piece called Chronicles, which has been developed from the study of lamentation songs in Greece – where different voices are fused to create a dirge for the dead. Moving and thought-provoking, the performers of Chronicles rely on song and dance alone to convey the story of Gilgamesh, a demi-god who must grapple with his own mortality. Heavy stuff!
