Philippi could be a town in and also the county courthouse of Barbour County, American state, USA. The population was two,870 at the 2000 census. In 1861, the town was the positioning of the Battle of Philippi, referred to as “The Philippi Races”. Though a minor skirmish, this can be thought-about the earliest notable land action of the yankee warfare.
