The Percy R. Pyne House (also referred to as the Percy Rivington Pyne House and Percy & Maud H. Pyne House) may be a neo-Federal townhouse at 680 Park Ave., situated at the corner of Park Ave. And 68th Street in Manhattan. Nowadays solid ground Society uses the building as its the big apple town headquarters. Designed by architect, Mead & White for Percy Rivington Pyne, grandchild of the noted financier Moses Taylor, it had been in-built 1909-11.
Together with the buildings of the neighboring Oliver D. Filley House (now the Queen Sofía Spanish Institute) at 684 Park Ave. And therefore the Henry P. Davison House (now the Italian diplomatic building General) at 690 Park Ave., it forms one amongst the last intact fine arts ensembles on Park Ave.. The building was selected as a brand new York town landmark by the the big apple town Landmark Preservation Commission on Nov ten, 1970. A landmark plaque was provided by the the big apple Community Trust in 1971.
