Pemberton, at one time New Mills, could be a Borough in metropolis County, New Jersey, u. S.. As of the u. S. 2000 Census, the borough population was one,210. Pemberton was incorporated as a borough by AN Act of the New Jersey legislative assembly on Dec fifteen, 1826, inside parts of latest Hanover territorial division and Northampton territorial division (now referred to as Mount Holly Township). Pemberton became AN freelance borough c. 1894.
