The new futuristic-looking building of St. Paul’s Church was on June 2, 2013 by Rotterdam Mayor Aboutaleb opened. The new building next to the Calypso apartment has four floors. The church building will function as multifunctional accommodation. St. Paul’s Church remains a center for parish where anyone can enter. There are spaces for social and diaconal work, medical care, assistance for refugees, for assistance with return of refugees to their country of origin, for art and music by visitors and temporary housing. Local residents and other third parties may use spaces. The church houses a large, multipurpose hall church together with a quiet space for example wedding and funeral services. There is also another organ in the church that is also intended as a teaching and study tool.
