Patan Devi mandir is one of the most revered temples in Patna. The temple is considered to be the abode of Goddess Durga. The Bari Patan Devi Temple faces North towards the Ganges river. The statues of the temple are carved out of black stone. All patrons are allowed to visit the temple irrespective of caste and Tuesdays are the special days for worship. ChotiPatan Devi Mandiris situated in the Chowk area of Patna City. Earlier this temple was considered as the main presiding deity of city but over time it has slipped to the second spot of eminence, after the Bari Patan Devi temple.
