By Air : Flights will be available till the nearest airport, and in this case, the nearest airport is in the town of Dibrugarh. The town of Dibrugarh is one of the most well connected places in the entire state with a major airport and a major railway station as well. Carriers like Air India, Indian Airlines, IndiGo, Pawan Hans and JetLite operate in this airport and regular flights to Dibrugarh will be available from many places including Delhi, Guwahati, Kolkata, and Dimapur. Flight fares from the main city of New Delhi to Dibrugarh will range around Rs 7,000 to 8,500. Ticket fares can also go up to Rs 10,000 depending on the carrier involved. Solung Festival ; Venue: Pasighat ; Period : September ; Details: This is celebrated from 1st-5th September. It is a harvest festival that is celebrated after sowing the seeds. The festival includes traditional songs, dances and offering prayers to the Sun and Moon Gods to give them a good harvest. On the last day of the festival, weapons are displayed outside the house as the locals believe that it protects them from evil spirits.
