Parwanoo is a town in the district of Solan in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The town is located near the borders of the state of Haryana. The hill station is a good place to visit during the summer to escape the heat of the mainland. The town is a small place that has grown in recent years due to the production of different fruits. One can see many orchards located in and around the town and these are good places to check out in the area.The town of Parwanoo is the entry point through which many travelers reach other important tourist places such as Pinjore and Kasauli. Parwanoo is a city and a municipal council in Solan district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is an industrial town. It borders Panchkula district of Haryana, and is after the towns of Pinjore and Kalka on the Chandigarh Simla Highway. In fact it is separated by a river bed from the town of Kalka. Pinjore to Parwanoo is almost a continuous urban belt. From Pinjore there is also a road to Baddi. Another nearby industrial town of Himachal.With the efforts of the first chief minister of the state Y.S. Parmar, the township was transformed from an offbeat little town to a thriving tourist spot and a famous stopover for the travellers.

By Air : The closest airport is the Chandigarh airport which is located around 25 km away. The airport is connected by scheduled flights to cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Srinagar. The relatively good connectivity and close proximity makes this the most viable option. Taxis are available from the airport and they cost around Rs 400 for the trip.
By Train : Kalka station is located 4 km away and this the nearest broad gauge rail head. The other option is to take a train to the Chandigarh station that is well connected. Second class train tickets from Delhi to Kalka cost around Rs 150. Trains from Chandigarh to Kalka cost around Rs 120. Taxis are available at both the places and they are the preferred way to reach the place.
By Bus : Government buses are available from Chandigarh and Kalka. Buses are the cheapest way to reach the place and they are available frequently.
