Papi Kondalu or Papi Hills is a hill station that is located in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The hills are said to resemble Kashmir and are among the most beautiful places in the State. It is an up and coming tourist spot and has spectacular valleys and waterfalls. The place is known as a summer retreat and is an ideal way to beat the heat of the mainland. The place can be reached from Rajahmundry and the drive is generally through Ghat roads in the East Godavari District. There are many tribal villages that can be seen in the area and the village of Peranta Palli is located nearby. There is a waterfall at Munivaatam that is a popular tourist attraction. The area surrounding the waterfall is extremely scenic and the lush green surroundings are a good place to spend the summer months. The climate is generally pleasant throughout the year and can be visited even during the winter months. Accesses to the Papi Hills are limited and the roads might not always be in good conditions. It is advisable to check the conditions of the roads beforehand. Papi Kondalu can be reached from Polavaram through a Ghat road.

Papi Kondalu is a hill station in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Papikondalu are distributed among Khammam, East Godavari and West Godavari districts. the entrance of Papikondalu will be seen from Koruturu (West Godavari District). Papi Hills (in Telangana, India) is a lovely place whose scenery resembles the scenery of Kashmir (North India). The beautiful scenery of Papi Hills, the waterfalls at Munivaatam, and the peaceful atmosphere at this tribal village give a pleasant look and peace to visitors, making it a special attraction for tourists. The idol of Shiva under serpent shade was installed in Munivaatam.

By Air : The best way to reach Papi Kondalu is from Rajhamundry. There is one road from Rajhamundry to Papi Kondalu that goes through the Ghats. The nearest airport is located at Hyderabad. For those who are arriving by air the best option is to take a taxi from the city of Hyderabad. Hyderabad is also well connected to the rest of the country and also receives many international flights. The distance from Hyderabad to Rajhamundry is around 390 km and taxis charge around Rs 3,500 for the trip. Travelers can take a taxi from Hyderabad directly to Papi Kondalu as well.
By Train : Rajhamundry has the nearest railway station and is directly connected to major parts of the country.
By Bus : There are many buses that are available from Hyderabad to Rajhamundry. Buses are cheap and the travel time takes around 7 hours. Government bus tickets cost around Rs 150. Buses may not be comfortable as the seats are cramped. They also may not be frequent. Taxis are available from Rajhamundry to Papi Kondalu. These taxis charge around Rs 7 per km. however this may vary depending on the type of vehicle and number of kilometeRs travelled.
