Papaaloa is AN unorganised community on the island of Hawaii in Hawaii County, Hawaii, u. s.. It lies on Hawaii Route nineteen north of Hilo, the county courthouse of Hawaii County. Its elevation is ten feet (3 meters) as a result of the community has borne multiple names, the Board on Geographic Names formally selected it “Papaaloa” in 1914 and 1954 before assignment the present name in 2001.
