Pali is an old town that is located in the state of Rajasthan. The town is known for its many buildings and has a history dating back many centuries. The town once belonged to the wealthy class of Brahmins called the Paliwals, hence the name Pali. The town was once extremely prosperous and till date, there are many buildings and sites that were once built by the Paliwal Brahmins. However it was later abandoned and became a ghost town. Some of the main attractions that one can visit in the town of Pali are the three main temples. They are known as the Ranakpur Jain Temple, the Hatundi Rata Mahabir Temple and the Surya Narayan Temple. These temples have an unmatched architecture and are still in good shape despite the age. There are many heritage hotels that are located in the town of Pali. Most of them are old palaces and forts that have been converted into hotels. Some of them are Karni Khot, Rohet Garh, Fort Dahmli, Kotri Raola Pali, Rawla Jojawar, Maharani Bagh Orchard, Ghanerao Royal Castle, Jagram Durg, Sardar Samand Palace and Rawla Narlai. These are interesting places where you can stay, and also interesting to visit. The heritage hotels still use some of the antique furniture that was used the inhabitants of the town of Pali.

Pali is a city in Rajasthan state of western India. Located in the duthariya region, Pali is the administrative headquarters of Pali District and comes in the marwar region. It is situated on the bank of the river Bandi and is 70 km south east of Jodhpur. It is known as “The Industrial City”.Nestled beautifully on the banks of the River Bandi, Pali is located in the state of Rajasthan and is widely known as “The Industrial City” of the district and is also the administrative headquarters of the district. The city is exceptionally known for its textile industries. It is a central point in exporting cotton and synthetic clothes to other states of India at a very low rate. One of the biggest cotton mills of Rajasthan is based in Pali. The city is well known for its holy temples and other marvelous places of sightseeing. By Air : For the travelers who prefer to arrive by air, the most suitable option will be the Jodhpur airport. This is located around 80 km from the ancient town and the airport is an important domestic airport in the state. The airport is connected to places such as Delhi, Udaipur, Jaipur and Mumbai. One can reach the town in a comfortable manner by opting for a taxi at the airport. They charge around Rs 1000 for the trip.

By Train : Pali Railway Station is an important station in the district and the place is connected to cities such as Guwahati, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Pune, Bangalore, Ranakpur, Yeshwantpur, Delhi, Mysore, Ahmadabad, and a few other cities. Tickets from Jodhpur cost around Rs 50 and the journey takes more than one and a half hours.

By Bus : Pali is connected by state run buses to places such as Ajmer, Jodhpur and few other cities in the state. Tickets are cheap and buses are a good option.
