Albéniz small palace is the official residency of the Spanish monarchy during their visits to Barcelona. It was constructed in 1928 by the architects Joan Moya and César Martinell for the International Exhibition which was to be held the following year. It was inspired by neo-classicism and in its interior a mural painting by Dalí and the collection of tapestries in the Goya Hall stand out. The two sculpted lions which can be seen at the entrance to the small palace come from the Palace of Pedralbes. Only the gardens are open to the public.
