Paget Park is a popular recreational destination. The well manicured lawns and trees attract a lot of visitors, especially during the evenings and on weekends. The perfect place to spend a peaceful day with the whole family, Paget Park is maintained by the Municipal Corporation of Ambala. This park has an exclusive children’s play area and a jogger’s path. Other than spending a leisure evening at the park one can also visit the 14th century St. John’s Cathedral which lies adjacent to the park. One of the oldest cathedrals in Northern India, this Gothic structure was bombed during the 1965 Indo-Pakistan war. Remnants of the shelling can be seen at the cathedral. One can also visit the church cemetery which has many graves belonging to the British.This park is the perfect place for morning walks, jogging, and also a good location where you can spend quality time with the whole family. The park is open throughout the year.Once you have taken a walk around the Paget Park, you could also visit the Badshahi Bag Gurudwara which is situated nearby.
