The Oscar S. Straus Memorial in Washington, D.C., commemorates the accomplishments of the primary Jew to serve within the cupboard of a U.S. President. Oscar king Straus served as Secretary of Commerce and undergo President United States President from 1906 to 1909.The memorial may be a marble fountain.It is set before of the Chief Executive Building and International Trade Center.
The fountain was designed by American creator Adolph Alexander Weinman, funded with a public subscription starting in 1929, and dedicated on October twenty six, 1947. Within the center of the memorial is that the huge fountain with the inscription “statesman, author, diplomat” .It was rededicated on October twenty six, 1998.
