Orwigsburg could be a borough in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, us. Named for its founder, Peter Orwig, from West Brunswick territorial division in 1823. The population was three,106 at the 2000 census. Orwigsburg was the initial county courthouse till the seat was stirred to Pottsville in 1851. Per the us office, the borough encompasses a total space of two.2 sq. Miles (5.7 km2), all of it land.
