Located in front of a small bay, Oropesa del Mar is a historic town in the province of Castellón, with beautiful beaches and a modern tourist infrastructure.
Oropesa Del Mar, located at the heart of Costa del Azahar, is a small town that has developed under the wing of a small bay.
The beaches of Concha and Morro de Gos, as well as several small coves and a Marina, were factors in the tourist development of this town of the province of Castellón.
Oropesa’s historic quarter preserves remarkable buildings, such as the church of Virgen de la Paciencia, famous for having gorgeous, 18th-century tiles from L’Alcora in its interior. Several towers still stand, which are a reminder of the important strategic and defensive role that the town played in the past, such as Rey Tower, Sant Julià tower, and the tower of La Dona, not to mention the old castle.
